Last night I had a scope crash and it seems to have confused my Dec encoder. I was looking for a way to reset the encoders, but did not find anything. After the crash I set up the mount as I do when I set up. Balance, level, turn the mount on, cold start, and then shut down before polar alignment. Then warm restart, polar align, and build a 1 to 4 star model.?
After the crash, each go to from the Dec axis was off to the distance that the scope would have traveled, had it not crashed. It did not correct with each star alignment. So, I just finished my imaging with a planetary night because it was easy to just manually slew to the visible objects.
Can I reset all settings and start over, or just reset the Dec encoder, or did I break the encoder??
