Re: G11 with Gemini2 issues with Go To

Hi James

Sounds as if your battery is ok butt can you give an indication that the top "finger" has good downward pressure on the battery??? Just visually.? Remember lifting it with power off will lose all data you input.?? Maybe pwr it on and visually use a calibrated fingernail to lift it and feel the pressure/contact?

Just want to ensure .? As Brian said the usual culprits in pointing and time errors are confliction either using local, offset, or inputting UTC incorrectly.? If you use the HC to set time.......hitting "Set" (the link above) "sets" the time and zone data, civil date and time you have entered into memory.?? Again, as Brian says mostly there have been a myriad of .

But, he asked "is your settings that you input changing on re-boot"?? Aka are you inputting and setting time etc ....rebooting and its now different?? The Gemini saves this data and also computes all this as a "checksum".? On next reboot if this checksum is not matched there will be a warning !?? Being you haven't mentioned a checksum error then it sounds as if data input is conflicting.?? Yet others have shown really weird dtg data that was generally fixed by a completet (as Sonny suggested).

This is what I meant with .?? But of course you have to have Gemini ASCOM running which I think you don't?

I do ask one thing.....? Also for firmware check.? I have seen some earlier firmware giving issues like this, especially differing HC and main unit firmware's.? Update them!. ? Here is a similar thread.??
I don't think its this and suspect DTG/Offset/UTC confliction as Brian said...but hey check the firmware as you said it's an earlier version.? Oh you're best to have the Ethernet stable connection to ?? (Many thanks to Paul for this GFU updater)!

Lots to digest and try, do get back with fresh information tried and asked and we will take it from there!
