Re: power consumption of a G11/G2 mount in tracking mode

My Lithium Ion batteries put out 11.9 volts when ¡°full¡± and can drop to as low as 10.9 volts. ?So I use a step-up converter. ?

Specifically I use this one: ?

Hi J-Phi

It can vary, but generally the numbers I use are 0.2-0.5a for tracking, up to 1.5a for slewing?@ 15v. Slewing is a little tricky because there can be a larger initial spike but there's an offset to the motor start that helps mitigate that

Hello

I'm thinking about a Li-IOn home-made battery pack to power my G11/G2 mount.

I would like to figure out what is the power drawn by the G2?
electronics, knowing that the mount (mechanical drive) need about 2W of?
power in tracking mode.

In other words, I would like to know what is the averaged power?
consumption of the G11/G2, assuming let's say 10% of slewing and 90% of?
tracking, without margin.

Thx J-Phi
