Have you tried doing a factory reset on the Hand Controller?
It is shown in this Losmandy video:
When I was having some precise pointing issues a number of weeks ago (not exactly the same as what you are having), this was the only thing that would fix it for me. You will have to input all your info from scratch. This takes a bit of time but was well worth it.?
