Sorry Brian, one more thing, I never have found the need for GPS, I can get my location off my phone ( it is a simple update ) and if you can't get the GPS location on your phone the GPS unite wont either. I had one with my last mount and never used it. I say save the money for other cool equipment. HAPPY SKIES Deric

Brian, when I was in the investigation part. Realized all the threads on Cloudynights are really old, the new G11 with all the updates is really really well done. I had a great conversation with Issac at Highpoint scientific. He has one, between? Issac and one other who made a perfect statement " That there is very little defference in a $4000.00 mount and a $6000.00 mount in its performance. You will see a jump at the $10,000.00? mark" this person has AP's and SB mounts. That is when I knew the Losmandy G11GT was the mount that fit my needs.P. S. The argument that There is a lack of support for these mounts and the Gemini 1 or 2 is total nonsense. There is mountains of information probably more than any other mount out there, right here on the Losmandy users group and on gemini-2.com.? HAPPY SKIES Deric

Thanks for the tip!? I'm trying to learn as much as I can about this mount before NEAF - I spoke to Tanya (I think) at Losmandy today, and am planning my purchase at NEAF.? One of the items I'm planning on in that purchase is the GPS for it - Hopefully, that will help with the Location and time zone settings.? But anyway, I'm filing that tidbit of information away in my notes for first light setup.??
