Hi all,
I'm seriously considering a GM811 for astrophotography. I've been imaging for several years with a LX200GPS 8", QSI683 with filter wheel and Off Axis Guide camera. What I would _like_ to do (I think), is dismount the Meade and transfer the imaging set up to the 811 (for ease of set up - no permanent observatory). I'll also, probably, get a small refractor for wide field. So, will the 811 handle the 8", or possible an 11" Celestron with good tracking/guiding, or is that too ambitious? How long of an exposure could I expect without problems? I appreciate all answers.
