If your GM8 is working well as it sits I suggest just leaving it alone and wiping the very excessive amount of lubricant in the photos using a clean, lint-free tech wipe and call it a day. Cleaning and lubing with fresh lube, not matter how good, will not help anything unless there is a problem like poor tracking or spikes in the tracking file.
