Robert,
My feeling is your 9.25 should mount fine. If you were told you would
have to mount you 9.25 upside down, I am betting you can go the other
route like I did. I can carry my OTA around by the dovetail, solid with
no problems.
The mounting bolts will be at the extreme ends of the mounting slots on
the dovetail and will just fit the mounting holes. You may not be able
to use all four bolts, but like I said, mine is a solid mating of the
OTA and dovetail.
