Attached are the settings I use with a DigiRig. I want to say I had the same settings with a generic Audio Adapter as well but i don't recall for sure. I had to go down the list to get it right for both the audio in and out. it also matters what audio is selected in the Pixel OS, screen shots also attached for that.

I've used a pi3 and 4 regularly with the TX-500.? Which sound card are you using coming from the tx-500?? I ask because I had one that had abour a 3" usb cable and that would not work at all.? I think? the cable picked up to much rf.? The simple little sabrent USB sound cards work great.

Not to sound like a jackass but I would start with the simple.? 1) make sure your input/output for your soundcard aren't plugged in wrong.? This has gotten me a few times.? If you have an external speaker or headphones, plug it into the output of your sound card then transmit and make sure you can hear the sound of which ever Digi mode coming from your radio.? 2) make sure you are in Digi mode.? 3) make sure the volumes? for input and output Digi mode are set to a decent level.? (1 and 2 should probably be switched)
If all 3 of those are correct then we can almost eliminate an issue with the radio and associated hardware and work from there. -- 73 Tim KF7VUT SKCC # 12611T |
