Cecil, Mine from the Oct 2020 lot has the 10A/250V glass fuse. 73, Henry - K4TMC On Sun, Jul 18, 2021 at 11:40 AM mccoy635 <w4cm@...> wrote: I checked the fuse size in the supplied power cord and it is a 10A 250v GMA glass fuse. |
Well that is two radios so far with 10A fuses.
I know the fuses are smaller but glass fuses that size are hard to find and costly. I would think a mini blade fuse would be better suited. Easier to read the values and pick the proper fuse. Still working on the LOW S meter readings detailed in other post. Same low readings on two new radios. Levels fine on two other brand radios and show a S 9 with -73dBm signal. All connectors and jumps checked. |

My TX-500 fuse holder contained an F3AL250V 5x20 mm glass fuse.? I was able to order spare fuses at a reasonable?price on eBay.? I got a package of 10 for $6.35 US including shipping.

Phil and all,
The F3AL250V fuse is advertised as 3 amp, quick blow.? It matches the markings and size for the fuse that was shipped with my TX-500 (inside the fuse holder that is part of the included power cord).? At least with my TX-500, you need to be sure to get the 5x20
mm size fuse.? I would recommend confirming size with the fuse holder in your power cord.
