What's a good inside antenna (and tuner?) that folks are using with the Discovery?

If you have access to balcony, drop a wire down. EFHW might not need a tuner.

I've used magnetic loop antennas successfully when my hotel window doesn't face an internal atrium. Here's the one I use:

The elecraft AX-1 or its DIY equivalent the qrpguys DS-1 I have used to good effect with the tx-500 and other small rigs.

Sometimes a simple half wave wire on the top floor corner room can fetch a QSO with TX from OH on 20m CW¡

Hey Josh ??

Wow your on this tread too? ?Nice! ?How did you connect up your TX-500? ?I can¡¯t Zoom in on the iPhone app.

Thanks

PS Still enjoying your Elecraft T1 case on my POTA activations ?

David,

I¡¯ve used a tuner with a similar setup before but this was 10ft of RG316 to the 49:1 with a 20m band half wave about 32ft. If memory serves SWR was just under 2:1¡good enough for the radio! In the photo green is the coax and red the radiator.?
