Re: New Firmware v1.16.04
CWS1/2 are CW STRINGS for keying from memory, they are not new if you long press CWR, it switches to CW. I think it saves your setting. I don't see CWR at all anymore and I'm fine w that , I assume if

Oooo, another firmware update, I like it. One thing I would like to see is the option to change the look of the "filter bandwidth" on the scope from a reversed display to a pair of vertical lines

Re: Official Battery Pack BP-500
Well, I tend to agree with Nick, KJTNWK concerning SOTA, etc. The tactical pack is quite nice and efficient. However, $400 is a bit pricey... I'll use what I have until I see some reviews. Larry

Re: Official Battery Pack BP-500
While I mainly use LiFePO4 these days as well, I wouldn't trust a website that states "they're the best". IMHO, this is just (bad) marketing. LiFePO4 has many advantages over LiIon batteries, except

Lab599 site says: * Aluminum radiator providing effective cooling of the transceiver Since Lab599 positions the TX-500 as being designed for harsh environments, I assume appropriate testing was done.
