Re: I managed to break the unbreakable radio...
Sorry for the late reply. I took the radio out of my bag and there was a vertical crack in the glass. Radio works fine. I¡¯ve since opened a contact with Lab599 and it is enroute for a replacement.

Bit of a lack of info Hank. What has broken? M3KXZ [email protected]> wrote:

Re: I managed to break the unbreakable radio...
I recall that there are plans to 3D print protective covers for this exact reason.? ?Quick ThingVerse search yielded this

Re: I managed to break the unbreakable radio...
This just happened to me. No idea how it happened. Do you remember how much it cost to get serviced?

Re: AF gain volume during TX varies with power
It's always been like that, as far as I remember. Not exactly life or death stuff but a minor annoyance nonetheless.

Re: AF gain volume during TX varies with power
Funny, I never noticed that because I run mine at full power all the time ;)

Re: AF gain volume during TX varies with power
Yeah, I've noticed it too.

Re: AF gain volume during TX varies with power
Fw rev. is now 1.23.09. I never got a reply from Lab599 after multiple attempts. Are there any other CW ops experiencing this? I cannot understand why anyone would want the AF Gain to be lowered when

Re: Anyone used a TX-500 with the Hard Rock amplifier?
Just refreshing this post: Curious whether anyone has done it using the TX-500 Kenwood protocol (e.g. for auto band switching, assuming the TX-500 command set supports it). -- 73, Norm/KC1BMD

Re: Single Key Polarity inversion not working Rev
Thank you for confirming Pete, yes I intended a straight key. Kind regards HB9IIA, Pier
Re: Single Key Polarity inversion not working Rev
Pier, the reason asked my previous question is that the CW Key Rev function only applies to paddles (either single or dual level) and reverses the sides for dits and dahs. For a straight key it does

Re: Single Key Polarity inversion not working Rev
Pier, can you clarify what you mean by a single key? Do you mean a straight key, or a single lever paddle? 73 M3KXZ [email protected]> wrote:

Single Key Polarity inversion not working Rev
I¡®m usually using a single key and switched it with one that has a reversed polarity. If I change the setting under menu=>CW Key=>Rev (Enabled/Disabled) nothing changes on the key input. One key
Re: BP500 Availability
That stinks. Hopefully we can get some soon. Lab599 has always been quiet. I remember when i bought into the first release batch. Everyone was just hoping it wasnt a scam haha and they didnt

Re: BP500 Availability
Never, it is supposedly replaced by the BP-550. I was never able to get the BP-500 and I don't expect to be able to get the BP-550, at least in the US from HRO. Questions to Lab599 go

BP500 Availability
Anyone know when these may become available in the US again?

Re: TX-500 Supply Voltage Readout Accuracy
There could also be a very small drop across the power cable which could be significant when measuring a few 10ths of a Volt. I don't think the developers were trying to provide a lab grade voltage
Re: TX-500 Supply Voltage Readout Accuracy
Hi Stephan, Thanks so much for answering my post. Perhaps if more users reach out to Lab599, we might get this feature in a future firmware release. 73, Steve NQ1F

Re: TX-500 Supply Voltage Readout Accuracy
Hi Steve, Thanks for your detailed measurements! About three years ago, I measured also about 0.3V difference to the "reality" (I used an uncalibrated and pretty old Fluke 87). In my case the shown

TX-500 Supply Voltage Readout Accuracy
I discovered that the supply voltage readout on my TX-500 is not quite as accurate as I would like. I use a Bioenno BLF-1203AB battery and monitor the TX-500 supply voltage indication when it drops to
