Re: AF gain volume during TX varies with power
Same here Norm. I read an explanation some time back but can't remember
exactly what it was. Something to do with the power adjustment operating at
a couple of different points in the output chain if

Re: Tune knob faulting
Agreed, I misunderstood and was not ruling out mechanical issues. Would be interesting to see what Marc (KC9WIB) finds out after the firmware update.

Re: Tune knob faulting
Norm,
I did not intend for this to imply 20m/40m band exclusivity, but rather simply, that it was not on only one band. With that in mind, I do not believe a mechanical fault should be ruled

Re: GX-12 wire gauge
I have some 24 AWG I might try.?Has anyone tried (and been successful) soldering 2 wires onto a single GX-12 pin? I might need to do that on a GX12-6 where there will be 5 wires soldered.

Re: Tune knob faulting
Due to the special feature of the internal signal conversion, there may be a certain
number of frequencies that can be heard in the headphones as clicks. This is not
a hardware problem, it is the

After updating to 1.16.06, it appears after a few trials, that my problem is resolved- stay tuned ( pun intended) for more thorough testing

Here's a couple short examples on 20 today
I couldn't get it to jump on 10 or 40 now.
I will update to the latest firmware now and retest - this is 1.14.08

Re: Tune knob faulting
If it¡¯s only on 2 bands, and it¡¯s happening during receive , to me that sounds like a firmware issue.

Re: GX-12 wire gauge
It seems that typically between 20 and 24 AWG is used,?a 20-gauge copper wire with PVC insulation can typically handle a maximum voltage of around 300 volts and a maximum current of around 3.5 amps,

Re: Tune knob faulting
Strange that it was only noticed on those two bands. I would think some mechanical issue would surface on any band.

GX-12 wire gauge
Anybody know the recommended (or largest that would fit) wire gauge for fabricating cables with GX-12 connectors?

Re: TX Metr menu setting #22
Good idea. I usually take a peak at that when I am transmitting just to see if I¡¯m outside of the 1:1 SWR reading. I also want to note It is also a little small to see in daylight. ?Lol!

It would also be nice if when the setting is set to SWR that it also show the
