Re: Headset option
Hi Tim,
Im potentially interested. To confirm, you¡¯re building something that will accommodate a TRRS connector? That would probably be slick depending on how the PTT works and how large it

VOX Continuous with BM-17DDYN and custom adapter cable
Hello,
I've created a custom adapter cable that connects the microphone on my Heil BM-17DDYN headset to PIN 2 (MIC IN) and PIN 6 (GND). ?The adapter also has a PTT switch which is wired to PIN 3

Yamaha CM500. Cheap, comfortable, sounds great on tx/rx. 60 to 80 bucks new.

Mark,
The Sure earbuds do not have a mic. I plug them into the factory Mic¡®s ear phone Jack. They are professional quality earbuds that form fit to the ear. I too live in the PNW and have a cabin

Re: Headset option
David,
Do you use the microphone on the Shure SE215 PRO?
Do you use an adaptor to connect?
Are they at least water-resistant?
I spend a lot of time in the Pacific

I too am hoping for something a more rugged than the W2ENY headset; I had one and it didn't work.? Replacment received and it works -- but just a bit too light duty for what I want.

Re: Headset option
I¡¯m using the mic that came with the radio. I need to seriously look at Mic options.
But the stock one has been working for me so far. I plug my Buds into the port on the Mic.

Re: Headset option
I lost a lot of my hearing about a year ago. Idiopathic they say.
I went with a pair of Shute SE215 PRO Wired Earbuds.
They are phenomenal. I highly recommend them.
For my QTH I use Sennheiser HD
