Maybe if a .01mFd cap is installed at the adapter between the earbud/headphone common and ground
it would shunt the RF on the headphone shield to ground but not provide a dc current path.
I use an adapter that I made for using earbuds and the common or shield is floating.
A small surface mount cap could easily be installed.
