Would Band Pass Filter be the best thing to use with radio being so close to together regardless of them being on different bands?

Just a bit of a follow up. I did a bit more testing.
It seems the overload from strong out of band signals on 10m causes the spurious signals to appear.
This is an overload condition with the preamp on. If I turn off the preamp the issue goes away.
If I leave the preamp on and add a 15m bandpass filter in front of the radio the issue goes away.
Ths DIF function moves the spurs but does not eliminate them.?
I guess my question now is, does the radio perform better with DIF engaged or disengaged and what is the difference in performance?
