i think you can find the answers from reading the threads.
This is my take. I had a failure on my charge controller, it was repaired under warranty. It took a bit of time due to parts shortage, but overall that was a smooth process.
Pros:
1. Easier to use with less cables.
2. Battery pack will provide up to 7Ah. That will last a long time.
3. Option to make it a lighter 3.5 Ah if you need to reduce weight.
4. Flexibility on charging voltage, even direct connection to solar panels.
Cons:
1. The water resistance of the whole system if think is potentially reduced as ingress into the battery pack appears to me to be easier than with the Tx-500.
2. The added weight of the battery pack reduces the ruggedness of the whole i.e. if dropped you are very much more likely to? damage something.
I now utilise a light weight case from Aliexpress to carry it and operate from to mitigate the cons. Overall, I like it a lot and have no buyers regret. It is expensive but for me as this is my go to radio it is worth it.
