My little project works!
Tested with an old pair of Samsung earphones. I just need to make one small correction as there was an error in the symbol/footprint so I'm flipping two traces. The test cable is cat 5 stranded but I'm thinking of even more flexible stranded 4 conductor with shield as I have a leftover box of the stuff.?
Also I'm checking out the AntLion Kimura Solo headset with boom mic for $99. Just might have to buy one and report.
