I own the PA500 and as with all gear there are pluses and minuses
remember that the PA500 has a tuner built in , which works quite well, it's also FCC certified and the equivalent in the EU, which means it passes various requirements to operate without interference?
i don't know about the Micro PA50, but have an open mind
the PA500 generates 40+ watts output on 10% power input from the IC-705 and TX-500 in CW and Digital modes in my experience, so you have efficient power usage
the PA500, while not waterproof, is pretty robust?

I've encountered a couple issues while extensively using the PA500, but I like it so much, i bid a crazy amount and was outbid on the expedition version
I'm not crazy - a $175 amp seems like s great value, let's see what users report
