From: Richard A Thoma <rathoma@...>

My name is Sylvia Thoma (Slawina Motylewska).

I was at the Polish Refugee Camp at Colonia Santa Rosa, Leon Guanajuato,
Mexico during the period from 1944 to 1948 when I would have been 10 to 14
years old. I am not absolutely sure of this time period because of my youth.

I have one document from this period, dated April 19, 1946, verifying my
birth date. It was sworn to before Mr. Chester Mikolayczyk, United States
Embassy Relief Administrator by two men who are described as of Polish
nationality, Mr. Jozef Anuazewski and Mr. Bronislav Krzyzewski. They stated
that they knew my mother and father in Adamowka-Dubpo, District of Holyz,
Poland, the place where I was born. The typing on this form has bled so
badly that It is very difficult to discern individual letters, therefore,
some of these names and words may be spelled incorrectly.

[...] My interest in the group is to garner all the information I can about
that period in my life and I am so grateful to Mark Kusiewicz and his
mother, Lucia Hanowski for opening this source of information for me.

Sincerely
Sylvia Thoma (Slawina Motylewska)

Sylvia,

My mother, aunts and grandmother lived in Santa Rosa at the same
time. My mother is still living in Leon. If there's anything that I
can help you with (even when I am not in Leon anymore), please let
me know.

Best Regards
