Anthony Dzimitrowicz (2nd. generation Pole)
Born in upstate New York and now living in FL.,
As you may guess I am doing Genealogical research on the Dzimitrowicz family name.
I read a recent article in Gen Dobry by William Hoffman. The article referred to your site and basically about the Kresy-Siberia group. As I have a (3rd) Cousin in Poland who spent some time in Siberia after the war, I am interested in learning more about these times and events. Due to the language difficulty I was unable to find out much in this area. It is my hope that I can learn a little more and have a better understanding of what my Cousin and her family went through.

become essential and vital for me to understand where I have come 
from, that this group has materialised. I was speaking to my brother 
today (he lives in Coffs Harbour for all you Australians out there) 
and he expressed that he simply thought our father was indifferent to 
his past and that is why he never spoke about it. I explained to him 
what little I have learned since joining this group and thus what I 
have been able to piece together about a family (that he and I never 
knew) torn apart forever by a war kept silent, and how many of us 
there are out there who are actually in similar situations. He then 
said what I expect many of us have said many times, 'I wish I'd known 
all this earlier.' 
I am in awe of the number and quality of people who seem to be 
finding this group and who 'qualify'. So Stefan, for this I am truly 
grateful for your efforts.
On another note...Paul, another beautiful poem.
