The village is
Pidmonastyrok/Pidmanastyryk. It is very small.
Pidbuzh was the
powiat/povit centre. Pidbuzh and Pidmonastyrok are
located near Drohobych
and Boryslaw.
The story my father told me is this. In 1941, before the
advancing
Germans arrived and the retreating Soviets retired, my dad saw a
truck/lorry with men he recognized. They had all been arrested by
the
Soviet authorities during their occupation of the area. The next
day the
bodies of men were found in a ravine in one of the
neighbouring villages.
That's all I know.
