I had the same experience .....last week at the
showing of "A Forgotten Odessey" (about 200 attended)...I had a group of my
Polish High School?Credit students read "Polskie Chlopcy" and the same
thing happened...people were crying and all of this week I have been making
copies for many !!!
Thank you Hania.

Subject: [Kresy-Siberia] Public Reading
of Polskie Chlopcy
I had passed along a copy of Hania Kaczanowska's poem
"Polskie Chlopcy" to
my parents, and they took it to the Polish Hall today
for the Remembrance
Day dinner. It was read as part of the program, and
apparently everyone was
quite moved...hardly a dry eye in the house. Many
asked for copies. My
mother expressed everyone's gratitude (for being
recognized, understood and
cared about) to me over the phone as soon as
they got home. I'm so sorry I
wasn't able to be there to witness this, but
just wanted to let you all know
about this, that when we share our work, as
Hania has done, the effects can
ripple out quite far. Many thanks, Hania,
well done!
Wanda
