I live in San Francisco and am trying to help my elderly neighbor, Peter
Haramis, make contact with an old friend that was mentioned in the passenger
list for the ship "General Langfitt". Peter used to live in Australia and
is hoping to re-establish contact with Halena Zukowska (or her sisters Irena
or Marianna) who emigrated from Poland. If he's unsuccessful in talking
with her, he'd like to know if Halena is alive and well.
I understand and respect the purpose of your forum. I was hoping that
perhaps one of your forum members, familiar with the Australian Polish
community, might help me get started. (I sent an email to Stanislaw
Harasymow yesterday, but have not yet received a reply.)
