ALL YAHOO GROUPS BEING SHUT DOWN on DECEMBER 14

As you may have just heard, Yahoo is closing down all of its groups and deleting the message histories in just a few weeks: "Starting December 14, 2019 Yahoo Groups will no longer host user-created content on its sites. New content can no longer be uploaded after October 28, 2019. "

Here are a couple of stories explaining that:

We have over 64,000 messages in the last?18 years of Yahoo group history, which is an invaluable resource, so we are looking into ways to archive those.

Meanwhile, however, the good thing is that we moved our group's hundreds and hundreds of photo files into our Virtual Museum 10 years ago (see?).?

Fortunately, we also moved our?active discussions to Facebook a few years ago and now have about 2000 friendly and supportive members there.?The very best thing to do is to be a member of the group on its new platform at?.

Kresy-Siberia Group's official Facebook discussion forum remains dedicated to research, recognize and remember Poland’s citizens fighting for survival and freedom in eastern Poland and in forced exile during WW2.
Membership is open to all persons with an interest in the topic, who provide their contact information and abide by the group rules. All messages in our group are private and only visible to other group members, who are all screened for acceptance and all subject to our rules of conduct (see below). Group Moderators reserve the right to warn, suspend or remove anyone who is unable to respect these rules. We ask members to all contribute to our mission by: - sharing information and photos in our Virtual Museum at??
- volunteering with recording Survivor interviews, events or charity administration; - making a voluntary donation if possible of US$40/year (or more if able) to help fund our costs at

Group rules from the admins
1
Stay on the topic of the group mission
This group is dedicated to research, recognize and remember Poland’s citizens fighting for survival and freedom in eastern Poland and in forced exile during the Second World War
2
Strive to avoid disparaging other group members
Comment on the issue not the person. While we should debate issues openly, we are a friendly and supportive group with common goals not a debating society where we try to score points to win arguments
3
Do not comment on current politics
While politics related to our history or its remembrance are fine, comments on current politics (especially not at all related to our history) can only cause totally unnecessary dissension.
4
Don't make discriminatory remarks
Remarks that describe persons based on their group identity – be it sex, race, age, sexual orientation, nationality, socioeconomic status, and religion – are usually negative, hurtful and wrong
See you all at?
