Monica, you answered your own question and yes, you will have the knowledge and simpatico/empathy to assist others in the future, but until you get there, please remember and be strong, knowing that we have ?all been on the same journey, different yet, similar and in simple words.? It hurts like hell, but we are not alone and the rewards are the greatest treasure on earth, of knowing who you are and where you come from.? You will find and discover that you and we come from a very special people, a unique group of survivors, born of a great history, like no other on this planet.? ?We are the Kresy people. You are all so welcoming and loving! I feel right at home here- as if, in a way, I have already found the family members that I wish so much to meet: in Poland, Australia, Italia and Spain (mother's side).
I am enjoying the research and discovery to a certain point. At times, it gives me a little bit of anxiety, to be honest, since I am finding out that this process takes time and I have been carrying around a ton of unanswered questions for many years now. Also,I feel amazing gratefulness and a broken heart reading the details of WWII events as told by the ones that endure them.
I thank you and everyone here in advance for your help and kindness. Hopefully I will be able to help others as well sometime.
