Gary, if you scan through the group's website message archives, you will find some sources for more information. ?To find more information on your father, try the British Army records that include Anders Army; also if you can provide a bit more information on his family (names, birthdates, towns...) you can get some info from the old Soviet archives through Alexander Guryanov.
While this group does not deal with the German forced labour camps, many of the members also have family with those experiences (my one aunt who was not sent to Siberia because she was in Warsaw with family, participated in the Uprising and was then sent for forced labour in Germany along with the entire surviving population of Warsaw!)

Dear Stefan:
Thank you for getting in touch with me, I am having a little problem with my computer in sending Email. My full name is Gary Bancarz, both of my parents are from Poland, my father from part of Poland the Russians took over, my mother from the side the Germans invaded.
I'll start with my mother, this is all second hand information, I know some of it is true some maybe not. In my mothers family one person had to be sent to work in Germany, she called it forced labour, her maiden name was Jagiello.
My dad his brother and two sisters, mother and father were sent to Siberia by the Russians, when the war broke out between the Russians and Germans, my father left Siberia and joined the Polish Army, and fought under General Anders, I know that my father was at Monte Casino, I have his medals.
Both my parents have passed away and I know very little about them because nobody talked about the war years. Now I find that my children are asking questions and I know nothing about them. On a chance I Emailed a lady, after I read a intro on her book on the same subject, she was nice enough to Email me back with information on your group, her name is Elizabeth Olsson. If you can point me in the right direction to find information it would mean a lot to me. ?
