Of course as soon as the Soviet invasion took place, the first order
of the day was to divide the local population and pit them against
one another, so I agree with you.
As far as the elections, my grandfather's ankiety simply stated that
there were no Poles on the ballot. Poles were not allowed on the
ballot. Where did the Russian on the ballot come from, unless
imported into Kresy? I don't think there were many, if any, Russians
living in our area of southern Kresy before the war?
