Welcome to the group. It is so nice to hear that you have an
interest in Polish people -as indeed you studied in Poland-and
particular your interest in Kresy Regions.So many people do not know
where Kresy are/were and their significance to Poland in the first
place and to Europe.Presently we see so much news about that area
with the referendum in Belarusia recently and today's elections in
Ukraine. Today's Poland and a new member of the European Community
is very much involved in those regions -helping and advising people
in many ways to decide on their future and freedoms.What a history
in that area? The area of constantly shifting boundaries; constant
government changes. Polishness still prevails, as I
understand.Polish language and religion from Odessa to Lwow to Wilno
and Brzesc.
You add another dimension-Cuban view- and it is pleasing welcoming
you to the group.
