[Owner] [Kenwood-Amateur-Radio] TM-G707 problem
Every so often-too often-my G707 will do a full reset on power-up. It doesn't seem to be consistent, with things like voltage not being a factor that I've seen.
I see nothing that says these radios have a backup battery of any kind. I don't even see one in the schematic anywhere, so it doesn't seem like that's it. Any body else got any ideas? It's weird. I know there is a button sequence that will wipe it, but I'm certainly not hitting that. Jim |
Have you considered saving the radio's program on your computer, and then wiping the radio? Reload the program afterwards.

I looked at the manual. On the back there's a reset button/switch. Maybe that's defective? Shot in the dark. Bob W4JFA? On Sun, Mar 24, 2024, 8:14 AM Jim Barbour <wd8chl@...> wrote: Every so often-too often-my G707 will do a full reset on power-up. It |
I've been having problems with that too. I used to be able to program it years ago with an old XP laptop that I still have, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. I'm thinking something went bad there too.

That I haven't seen. I'll have to check on that. The way it's mounted there could be something putting some pressure on it...
