Kenwood TS930S microprocessor chip

Hello > I am new to this group. I am trying to resurrect my dad's ( W5PXV/W5AY,? SK) Kenwood TS930S transceiver. It needs a microprocessor PNA IC chip ,? UpD8049C 211.
Does anybody have one or know of a replacement chip and how to acquire one?
Thank you?
Phil, W5AY

WOW! It is really rare for the CPU to actually be bad.

Well I am just going by what a local electronics repair guy told me I needed and said he couldn't fix my rg because he couldn't find the?part.. Do you know of anyone who would be willing to take a look and see if the rig can be made whole again?? No ears, no transmit.
Thank you.

The hardest part about repairing the big kenwoods is the shipping. Bad things happen in transit.
The only "easy" way to get one that I know of is to buy a used board from ebay. (good luck)
