Kenwood ts520s -- tap the IF

Timothy Holmes #304 HI folks: ? I have a kenwood ts-520s that I am interested in possibly tapping the IF off of to hook to a SDR dongle to make a pan-adapter -- what Im curious to know - is how hard of a project would this be, and -- is it safe?? for me and the radio thanks TIM
