Tom N0TLZ All Messages By This Member #1691 I was successful connecting to a local RMS on 2M (1200 baud) and sent an eMail message using AX.25 as the transport.? I am using the TNC3 with no rig control. If I manually switch the radio over to an RMS station on 70cm, will the 9600 baud rate change be automatically negotiated or is there a manual setting I am responsible to make in a config file on the RPi? 73, Tom N0TLZ
Brian #1696 Tom, i don’t recognize the TNC model you mentioned. However every hardware TNC I have used has to have the baud rate set in the TNC from its command line. Example “cmd>Hbaud 9600”
km4ack All Messages By This Member #1705 Tom, At a minimum you will need to modify the /etc/ax25/axports file that is set to 1200 baud for build a pi. You may also need to reconfigure your TNC but I am not positive about this.
