Error message Conky
Hi
On my Rpi 4 4GB while operating at home without a GPS unit plugged in, using home wifi I am seeing on the Conky display instead of "No GPS" I think "Some err". I think I have traced it to the result of a script named "get-grid" which when executed with the command ./get-grid has an long error starting with "Some error....". Now in the past operating in this manor I would get on Conky "No GPS" which is what I would expect now too. In the past there is a file in one of the Conky folders I edited to echo my grid square to print on the display, which if operating in the field with a GPS unit plugged in to show the actual grid square from the GPS unit. Used to work fine. Any ideas as to what may have changed to this, seems that it should show correctly as "No GPS" like before. I would like to get back to normal. Marty kd8bj |
开云体育Hi Jason Thanks for that tip, since I hadn't planned on using the GPS unit
while not making any portable outings I didn't think I needed to install GPS. I will go back and update now and remember to install in future for any possibility. Marty kd8bj On 9/18/21 6:45 AM, km4ack wrote:
You will typically only see "Some err" when you don't have the GPS software installed. Use the BAP update tool and install/reinstall GPS and GPS update tool. |
