Evolve III gps x6100

So I'm have problems getting my evolve III to play nice with the gps. The problem is the 6100 uses 2 ports acm0 and acm1 the gps also uses acm0 and locks up the computer. I have tried all kinds of things. The gps works fine to set time. But as soon as I plug in the radio it locks up because there is a conflict with those ports. I have the gpsd set by id but it doesn't seem to matter.?
I use Debian 12 on the evolve it is one of the newer ones without the SIM card slot.?
?
Even starting the radio and then the gps does not work.
?
Any ideas would be good my next option is build a pi time server with the gps. But if I don't have to do that it would be nice.
?
Thank you
Bill

Just a suggestion, ditch the GPS and stream GPS data from your phone with GPSD. It's so much easier and no need to tie up a USB port.

Brian what is a good way to do that I have looked for apps for Android and search online but can't find anything that works with my phone???
?
Yes I think that would be good but only if I can do it without internet. I have been making a hotspot with the PC and that works great until I have no internet

Jason did a video on it a few years ago so it's a nut outdated but the GPS app is on both 73 Linux and BAP. Select phone GPS on that app on the computer and the Android app is called GPSD Forwarder.

Only problem is that app is not in play store anywhere?
?
And the link Jason shared come up and says it's not available ?
?
I have a old cell phone I use for aprs I will check that

So I found a app on my old phone called gps server not sure if it will work but going to try it. Also working on Jason's gps pi server

Probably because it was made for an older version of Android. It's on GitHub and F-Droid and it does work on current Android for me.
