Recommendation Linux bistro for HP Stream 7 tablet

Hi?
?
I have an HP Stream 7 tablet computer that I would like to put Linux onto. ?Any recommendations for Linux distro that would produce a functional tablet OS?
?
Several years ago, I did manage to put an Ubuntu version on it, but it did not really work well. ?For example, the screen would not change orientation when the tablet was rotated (likely missing some drivers). ?Currently, I have Windows 10 installed, but it's not really useful as it's slow and really doesn't function well. ?I was cleaning out the shack and found it again and was thinking maybe now there might be a version of linux that might work. ?Any suggestions would be appreciated. ?Thank you.

If it is a 32 bit system, try LMDE6, which is for 32 bit machines and is one of the few 32 bit distros around. It is based on LinuxMint.

Thanks for the info. ?I found that that Stream 7 is 64-bit but restricted to 32 bit by the bios. ?I did try the LMDE6, loading from the USB drive to check it out. ?It did run, but bombed when trying to install it onto the Stream. ?I did find that Debian 12 has a 32 bit version based on Bookworm that had been reported to run on the HP Stream 7. ?This system installed without any issues and runs pretty well. ?It recognized the touch screen and does screen rotation based on orientation. ?Only option that doesn't work is the camera. ?Likely missing a driver, but I don't use the camera. ?Next step is to see how some of the basic ham radio programs run on it.
