What does the command: ls -la /dev/ttyUSB* [enter] show? Does it show root dialout? If so, run the command: groups [enter] if the list doesn't have dialout in it, run the command: sudo usermod -aG

On the Pi,? with one of the USB cables inserted, at a terminal or command line enter: dmesg | grep tty [enter] and report the results here, please.
