Re: JS8Call Audio frustration

&*%@^...? I just tried to edit my last post but managed to delete it some how

(try #2)
I changed the mode "Settings>Radio>Rig Options>Mode" to Data/Pkt per Benjamin's suggestion and I get audio going to the radio (got a reply to an HB).? BUT... when the radio goes into Data USB mode I get an ugly splatter on the waterfall. Nothing is being transmitted but the radio is sending a nasty tone to JS8Call.

Still some bugs to sort out but at least it's progress. Thanks for the help!

Fritz NM5XD

P.S.? I do have #142 VOX set to DATA

Re: JS8Call Audio frustration

Fritz, try setting VOX to data on the radio menu (menu 142).

Re: FLRiG won't work with IC-7610 #flrig

dmesg produces a lot of output. ?The key is to run the command just after you plugged the usb into the pi.

Another command you might find useful is:

ls -l /dev/serial/by-id

Build-a-pi uses these designations for devices. ?Check out the GPS line if you have a GPS on your pi. ?Update GPS does not work if you put /dev/ttyAMC0 in the line. ?It uses the really long reference from the ls command above.

Just a thought.

Hi

I don't know if I ever saw a standard for these power connectors, sometimes called coaxal

connectors too, but have tested a lot of them and all I have tested were center positive. So

I just assumed a standard, as usual you mileage may very. So I always check.

Re: Unable to run BAP Update tool

Run the following commands to resolve the issue
cd ~
rm -rf ~/pi-build

git clone https://github.com/km4ack/pi-build.git

The version number is displayed at the top of the update tool screen.

Re: JS8Call Audio frustration

Trying to do the exact same thing.? So glad to find this thread.
Right-clicking the speaker icon on Pi menu bar, though, just gives me 'No audio devices found'
Is there some power-up order I've got wrong?
My F991-a menu matches the shots above. When JS8Call matches the above, I cannot match the audio because those are not available.
Just quit WSJTX (tried it, some problem) and started JS8Call to show my menu. Transmit light started flashing as though I've got two things trying to transmit at once?
There is nothing plugged into the front of the radio. Only power, ant, and USB plugged into the back.

So Scott, I did find this in the winlink forums

The items these folks had were simple
1.? A potentially corrupted whitelist
2.? Email address not on the white list
3.? A forgotten forward setup in the winlink settings

I know its a long shot but thought i would put it out just in case

Thanks,

Jason, could you tell us more. I am a bit lost on how to do that. I will create the two config files, but sure how to manage them.

Re: Solar Data / Conky Install #bap

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I am not familiar with those particular lines but most of the conkyrc files start with a tag similar to?${font Arial:bold:size=10}? set the size to something inline to what you desire, if that tag is missing in the lines you are using, it can be added.

[Edited Message Follows]

After updating .conkyrc with the 2 lines from solar-data.txt, the conky display wrongly increases the font size for the solar data compared to the setting i had for the Conky Display.
So to reset the Conky Display to my liking by running Conky-Prefs. When the Conky Display is refreshed, the modification I just made to .conkyrc is overlayed with an original copy which excludes the lines just added from solar-help.txt
Strange... Any suggestions!

Re: Can't get PAT to communicate with a station #pat-mail

other than the volume settings on the signalink, which I had pretty dialed in when everything was working, are there any volume controls in the PI that I should look at?? I don't remember having to do anything before, but just a thought.

Also, I have a new cable coming for the signalink to radio....just in case.

?

Re: Can't get PAT to communicate with a station #pat-mail

1.? Pat GUI
2.? Yes, telnet works fine.
3.? ?AX25 only.? No ardop, no HF, just my VHF/UHF radios.
4.? I'll look for my AX25 logs.

Re: Can't get PAT to communicate with a station #pat-mail

I've been talking to the gateway owner and was told it's not down and no changes have been made.
