Re: No Gridsquare in Conky but cgps gives me good information.

I had the same issue this morning after upgrading to 3.0.8 and I performed the steps in the June 24 reply from Jason about missing gems.? Once I did that it worked!

Thanks,
David N4FGA

Re: IC-705 and PAT

Okay, you can ignore the previous post.? I had an extra " that was causing my error.? Also, the port 4532 on the address is allowing ARDOP to control transmitting to flrig.

While I did not successfully connect yet, it appears I'm moving in the correct direction.

Thanks for all the guidance!

Re: IC-705 and PAT

I feel like I'm getting close.? I made the edits you recommended.? But I get a refused to connect error in Chromium when Pat-Mailbox launches.? Should the address under Hamlib match the ulr for Pat-Mailbox, which for me is 127.0.0.1:5000 or should it match the TCPIP in flrig which is 127.0.0.1:4001?

Either way, Pat-Mailbox refused to connect with any of these options.? Below is the latest config with edits.? Thanks in Advance for all the help.

Thanks, Jason! That works. Now I just have to find out why it's ignoring Gpredict.

Re: IC-705 and PAT

I **really appreciate everyone's help here.
Looks like there is/was a couple of us IC-705 (7300ish) guys with similar questions at the same time.
I wanted to report that I have now **successfully** completed my FIRST PAT WINLINK connection, so thanks everyone.

Here's the only remaining question I have...
My ALC was really high.
Pi newb here, so not sure where to go to adjust this on the pi???

Thanks!

Re: Fixed low voltage warning on my Pi systems with a cable upgrade

Hi All

Many ways to feed the pi.

To get rid of that dreaded lightning bolt and lower power warning (and associated poor performance)?
I feed the one or two Pi¡¯s that seem to do this, with an additional power feed through the USB port

I had an ussue with a signalink that just freeze up. Rerouted the cables today and hope that sorted out. Only happened when i use 80m js8call on rpi

Jason,
Testing Solar Muf Script. I don't seem to have /usr/bin/convert. Is it part of your rollout or do I use apt install?

Super Newbie: autohotspot will not install

Hi all
Just got a new pi and setting it up - my old ones are too old!
I am installing it bit by bit and am currently adding the autohotspot. The setup is now in Downloads and I am running the executable. However, every time I try I get "./autohotspotN-setup: 8: ./autohotspotN-setup: Syntax error: newline unexpected"
Ideas please?

Re: Rig control with Gpredict #ft817 #rpi

You also need to verify that the baud rate is set in the rigctl statement and that it matches what you have set on the radio. I don't have my 817 in front of me but I believe it is called the CAT RATE in the 817 menu. Off the top of my head, so take with a grain of salt:
rigctld -m 1020 -r /dev/ttyUSB0 -s 4800
where -s sets the rate.

Great! This tells us that the script is working and that the ruby gems are installed :-) Now let's look at another file. Run this command:

cat /run/user/$UID/

which should show you your grid square again. Please verify that it does.

Re: Fixed low voltage warning on my Pi systems with a cable upgrade

Lots of different power supplies.? Ones like the official Raspberry Pi and USB power cubes of different manufacturers and amperages.? This obviously only works with power supplies that have a USB socket on them.? The wired supplies can't use the heavier cable.? When the lightening bolt is on or now the message of low voltage appears, your Pi performance is severely restricted.

Re: IC-705 and PAT

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I believe you have a couple places that need inspection, mainly it looks like there is no rig definition.? ? From an Ardop speed perspective, Ardop is like an old dial up internet modem.? The Forced keyword right above the speed allows it to send a connection and then negotiate a speed acceptable to both radios given the band / connection conditions.? The dirtier the connection, the lower the speed.? So 500 is good to get things ironed out then i would recommend going to 2000 and let the radios decide on an ultimate speed.

I have edited your file to show a couple differences with mine *BOLD*.? I use an ICOM 7100 so my config may be a bit different than you need but this may help you.
