Re: Conky Temperature for Celsius
#conky
Thank you for the information.? I am not a programmer neither raspberry pi knowledge, but i found some files and change all of them because change the large config file and restarted and does not worked. So i changed the following files experimenting? replacing the Fahrenheit line with:
?
${font Arial:bold:size=14}${color White}Temp: $alignr ${exec /usr/bin/vcgencmd measure_temp | cut -c6-9} C
?
/home/pi/.conkyrc?
?
/home/pi/73Linux/data/conky/large.pi
?
/home/pi/73Linux/data/conky/medium.pi
?
/home/pi/73Linux/data/conky/medium.pi
?
/home/pi/73Linux/data/conky/.conkyrc
?
And run 73linux install, for conky.
?
Hope this helps to others or maybe share a shortcut for this procedure.

Re: 73 Linuxnot ready for mint 22?
This is due to:
"linux mint Package requirements (sndfile >=1.0.10) were not met" so... ?
We need: libsndfile1-dev
?
but "libsndfile1-dev" has a few of dependencies??
then we'll need: ?
portaudio19-dev I'm adding them manually now and will see what happens :) I'll add a issue to github. |
Installer suggestion
I've had the issue a couple of times where the "interesting facts" box covers up the other installers like Vara for example so you can't see it in the background. Also every time it switches between messages it steals the focus. If we could at least make that box draggable to a corner of the screen or just have it start in one of the corners, that would be helpful. Or maybe a checkbox to disable the messages in the initial screen when you select packages?
Just a suggestion! Thanks for all you do!

Re: vara install
Hi Tom, Not currently. But you can use the Winelink script for that (which is back up and running and now incorporates the PiApps wine installer). Kind regards, KI7POL On Sat, Aug 10, 2024 at 6:36?AM Tom Corcoran via <tcorcoran=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: 73 Linuxnot ready for mint 22?
Just an FYI
?
The latest version of 73-Linux just released by Jason, works fine with Mint 22.? Only issue in my case was the FL suite would not install.? From error message, it appeared the libfltk1.3-dev did not install.? Did manual sudo apt install libfltk1.3-dev (got this from the install script) which fixed the issue.? Flsuite install with no issues.

Re: Pat doesn't key IC-7100, but does everything else.
Try
Also, there is a VARA forum in groups.io. /g/VARA-MODEM/topics
?
The short answer is that VARA processes the audio, but rigctld from Hamlib handles the PTT. You didn't give your current setup so its hard to know what is happenig.? I run VARA HF under Wine with a IC-7300 and I think others are running an IC-7100. There is a youTube video somewhere that describes the Pat setup but its for Windows. But, the process is the same. If you already have Vara running on a PI you already did the hard part.

Re: 73 Linuxnot ready for mint 22?
Jason, thank you for all of your work on 73 Linux. I am new to Linux, I have been running mint 21.3, I have it installed on the old hard drive from my laptop and have been running it externally. I would not have been able to get all of the ham apps I use up and running with out 73 Linux and your YouTube tutorials. I am eagerly awaiting your update of 73 Linux so I can do a fresh install of mint 22 on the internal hard drive on my laptop. My question is , are you going to include the ardopcf enhancement you mentioned on git hub in this update. I installed it on my mint 21.3, it was the only way I can make any winlink connections. I was even able to change conky and pat menu using some of your videos as guides,so everything would would work right with ardopcf.?
anyway. Thanks again?

Re: 73 Linuxnot ready for mint 22?
On some laptops you can switch the network card out to an Intel card. This should eliminate most wifi/Bluetooth issues, but some laptops bios will reject anything other than the OEM network card.? In that case you can use USB dongle.? Updating kernels can be a good thing though. Remember the driver's are in the kernel. After upgrading? 6.9.8? my Bluetooth issue connecting to JBL speakers was fixed, had to re-connect after every YouTube video.?
