Re: FLrig and JS8call

 

After doing a reflash I did the Pi-build and thought JS8call was loaded. I could see the icon but got a desktop error. I'm reloading Pi Build and hope JS8Call works. FLrig changes vfo. I hope I don't have the same issue earlier.

I plan on vnc from the picnic?table to my mobile. 40 m hamstick on 7.078.

Power up your Raspberry Pi, login, and in your home directory, run the following command

git clone \ $HOME/pi-build && bash $HOME/pi-build/build-a-pi
FLRig config?

 

I am having an issue with CAT control of my uBitx xcvr. WSJT-X and JTDX work fine using the FT-817 settings. But using the same settings with FLRig I get a configuration error and no CAT control. I have version 1.4.4 of FLRig and am running buster.

No sure what to try. Any suggestions?

On my RPI3 running BAP w/ LINbpq & direwolf - I noticed these messages on the screen -dw command today. This is my primary winlink server.

My PAT winlink messages don't always go through and I was suspecting it was an issue with my signal link device, but now I'm thinking it's more related to this. Any help to get those values back into tolerance would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, using Mumble which can also be used to do SSB remotely. Jason did a video on sitting it up a year or two ago. Another option (which I have no experience with) would be TeamViewer.

HAMRS not opening

Latest BAP flashed onto 32g card
Everything seems to be working but HAMRS. When opening it goes to full white screen then back to normal screen. Hourglass for about 15 seconds then nothing. Did check HAMRS preference and change permissions to everyone for all 3 settings, reboot, same issue.?


new to Pi and Linux, understand how to use terminal, just don¡¯t know all the commands and what they do.?

@km4ack:
Both VNCServer and VNCViewer are working on RPiOS-64. You need to install Viewer using Start, Preferences, Recommended Software. I am VNC'd into a Pi4-4GB running RPiOS 64 then VNC'd into another computer to enter this message.

There is a 64 bit version available for gridtracker. A new issue ticket has been created so this can be addressed in the next version of BAP. https://github.com/km4ack/pi-build/issues/382

Been there.....done that. Don't feel bad. We all do it at least once. I once spent way too long trying to figure out why some software wouldn't decode. Once I connected the coax to the antenna, it decoded fine.

I ran into the same thing with Pat that had me stumped as well.
For Pat, I was able to build from source to overcome. In this case though, Gridtracker is already being built from source so it may need to be updated by the developer before it runs on 64 bit. Not sure but I made a note of it so I can try to get it working. /g/KM4ACK-Pi/message/7245

What is the TQSL path for Gridtracker

I am trying to run Gridtracker and I need the correct path for TQSL.
I am getting Invalid TQSL executable file.? TrustQSL not installed. Select Station.

Any help greatly appreciated.
