which should install the missing libudev.h.

There has been an ongoing discussion last week in the "linuxham" discussion group.

Also earlier in this also.

Good luck, and I hope the package noted above is the correct one, you may be able

to confirm the above by searching in the archives too.

Hi Christ

You have run into the known problem from a recent change, which BAP will

catch up to in a future update. I think you can move forward by this command:

sudo apt install libudev.dev

Good luck, and I hope the package noted above is the correct one, you may be able

Re: FLRiG won't work with IC-7610 #flrig

Here is the result:

pi@KB2MFS:~ $ ls -la /dev/ttyUSB*
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 188, 0 Jul 17 18:27 /dev/ttyUSB0
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 188, 1 Jul 17 18:27 /dev/ttyUSB1

After the groups command:

pi@KB2MFS:~ $ groups
pi adm dialout cdrom sudo audio video plugdev games users input netdev lpadmin gpio i2c spi

What does the command:

show? Does it show root dialout? If so, run the command:
groups [enter]
if the list doesn't have dialout in it, run the command:
sudo usermod -aG dialout pi [enter]
and reboot, This should give you access.
edit: last command given, the mind knew the correct command but the fingers insisted on the wrong one...

FLRiG won't work with IC-7610 #flrig

Good morning.

I have just added an Icom 7610 to the shack and trying to get the RPI4 and FLRig to work.? I am not a linux guru but have updated all software and the BAP shows them current.? FLRig loads and opens fine but I can't seem to get the serial port to load and communicate with the rig.? I see the 2 ports something like USUART 7610 and selecting them does not work.? When I plug the usb cable into the PI, I see 2 devices added when I run ls /dev.? However in this list they are listed as xxxx/USB0 and USB1.? I also tried to select these in the drop down list of FLRig to no avail.

I have the CI-V (remote) connected to an amplifier and the USB1 port connected to the RPI4.? I think I have manipulated every setting on the rig and nothing seems to work.

I finally took the windows 10 laptop to the shack and loaded the special Icom drivers and everything worked fine with FLRig as well as HRD.

Is there something special that needs to be done in Raspbian to make this work???

Thanks and 73

update of existing Build a Pi image

Hello,
as a new version of build a pi is now in beta status, I have following question: can I replace an existing build a pi by the new version and then update the existing system with the new build a pi version, or should I build up a new image from scratch on and then transfer the old data to the new image?

Pat WinLink setup not keying my FT-dx10 via FLRig #flrig #pat-mail

Has anyone solved the pat Winlink PTT via flrig.?
I have flrig configured for my FT-dx10 (selected hamlib version 4.2? FT-dx101D Stable).
It works on WSJT-X, fldigi, js8call selecting FLRIG FLRIG.

I followed all the KM4ACK tutorials on Winlink on RPi.?
Pat-Mailbox works on telnet.? On ARDOP it doesn't key PTT.
On the piardop terminal, I get Input peaks.
The Pat-Mailbox connects OK in telnet - wl2k.
ARDOP connect gives the following:
ARDOP TNC (ARDOP TNC_1.0.4.1j-BPQ) initialized
Unable to set PTT rig '/usr/local/bin/rigctl -m4': not defined or not loaded

I must have an error in my pat configure.? I would greatly appreciate any advice.

Never make any statements of problems until you do a reboot.
Once rebooted, Build-a-Pi shows that Hamrs is installed!!
