Re: Ardop

No way that I am away of to add a delay to Pat before the connect. You might ask Martin (Pat devleoper) https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/pat-users

I use the stop modem method if and when I need to abort.

Yes. The simplest way is to ask the radio what mode it is in using rigctl. In the example below, I am passing the command to rig 4 (FLRIG). "-m" sets the rig number and the "m" at the end is querying for the current mode. My rig was in DATA-U when I ran the query. FLRIG was running.

rigctl -m 4 m

And it returned

RPi and Yaesu FT 818

Good afternoon,

I am trying to connect my Raspberry Pi to my Yaesu FT 818. I am attaching a picture of the connection between the radio and the Pi (for simplicity sake). I have a Sabrent USB audio card with dual ended, 3-part, 3.5mm plugs that meet in a Y connection that puts the connections to a single 4 part, 3.5mm jack which is plugged into a Wolphilink. The second USB cable is for CAT control.

No matter what I do, I cannot get the signal to transmit. I CAN get JS8CALL to decide though. Any help or suggestions you have are appreciated!

On a seemingly unrelated note, my hotspot will activate, but I cannot get the pi to connect to my Wi-Fi. For some reason it will not turn on the wireless interface.

Thanks,
Jim

1st Is there any way to insert a delay or click button to connect when selecting a winlink station?? What happens is I select a RMS station HF/2M? FLRIG doesn't set the frequency of the radio until I hit connect and doesn't give me a chance to hit the tune button/fine tune which is a non issue on 2M but on HF it's an issue. It would be great if there was a way to select an alias and it auto sets the rigs frequency. As of now I have to manually set the frequency ( I've cheated when I add an alias to PAT I ad it's frequency to a FLRIG memory) get everything tuned up and then hit connect.??

2nd is there away to get the abort button to work in ARDOP? I can't get it to work , the work around for now is to hit the stop modem button.

3rd is there a list correct mode selections for patmenu? I use a Yaesu FT991A , PKTUSB gets me DATA-USB mode , but every variation I've tried of PKTFM , FM PKT, DATA-FM? doesn't work ... now that being said FM does work and I can use that as a mode my OCD wants to use DATA-FM ( I don't use VOX I've set both ADROP and Direwolf both use PTT)

Lastly thank you for the amazing work you've done!

Re: Makerfire Dockerpi

According to the Wiki, range is 5V to 16V.

I found it in KM4ACK's recommended accessories.

Appreciate it. Looks like that leaves plenty of hat room. Man I love this dockerpi. The fan is quiet and it runs beautifully on 3s lipos. Now I just need to figure out if there is a way to monitor voltage and power consumption and display it in Conky.

I also drilled holes in the top of this for better air flow.

Howdy everyone,
?
A quick question for those in the group that have installed the Dockerpi-does anyone have a nice case that it will fit in off the rack and with the rtc installed on top? I sliced and diced my cheap plastic kit case with the dremel which will do for now, but I'd like something that looks better. Thanks to anyone that can help and good to be in this group.

Have not tried it yet. Just waiting on the new pi! I was hoping to see it today, but no joy..? I will be starting my comparisons shortly I hope!? Stuff never shows up when you want it!!

Re: Makerfire Dockerpi

Thanks Jeff. I should have mentioned I have the 4b. Not sure if it makes a difference as I am new to all of this (my first week).

Re: Raspi4 USB boot

Well - Jason has not yet toggled the permissions for anyone else to upload an image to the "Files" section.
However , "Photos" has it's permissions toggled and I just created a "TEST" Album and uploaded a quick image.

I have a RP 3, and my RTC fits in the official RPi case (the red and white one)

Put any images that you want to share into the "Files" section ( usually to the left of the message section ).?
Inline images are not allowed. Change the name to reflect the intent.
