Look in the preferences menu for 'build a pi'. Run it, scan your installs, and click conky to install.

I am running 3.04 of BAP and I don't see Conky under preferences.? Is there a way to add it?

Is there a good mumble android client?

Hot Spot Tools and Draws #draws

Hello,
I am struggling to get my DRAWS PI to work remote headless. I mainly use it for digital modes and would like it to work with an android tablet. I have the DRAWS hat and it works great.?

I installed Hot Spot Tools by following the KM4ACK video but nothing like the SSID, password, IP address is filled out. I'm obviously missing something.?

Has anyone had success using this with a DRAWS hat and build??

Thanks for the help
Matt K1MDA??

Build A Pi Question

I like how you can see the frequency in Conky in BAP.? Is there any way to format it so instead of showing 101360 it shows 10.136.00?

Re: Is this something that could be implemented in BAP?

+1 on Mumble, working great I get reports of good audio quality on my remote pi rig.

That said, I've been using Windows/vnc, would like to use an android tablet or maybe a chromebook (I want to park my car on top of a tall parking garage at a mall, and vnc/mumble from the food court).?

Is there a good mumble android client?

I have done a couple of video on Mumble and how to install it. It should work fine if installed on top of BAP.

Re: Build a Pi 3.0.4 Beta Release

Running BAP from bash, I stall on this:
warning: redirecting to https://github.com/wb2osz/direwolf.git/
remote: Enumerating objects: 7, done.
remote: Counting objects: 100% (7/7), done.
remote: Compressing objects: 100% (6/6), done.

Just stops doing anything.
Looks like it may be hanging up at the direwolf build. How long did you let it sit there before cancelling out? Did this happen on an update or a fresh build?

Re: Build a Pi 3.0.4 Beta Release

My base image was "2020-08-02-raspios-buster-armhf.img".
I did not run update or upgrade before installing BAP 3.0.4.
I have only leveraged PAT Winlink, TNC3 modem, and the Pi hotspot for VNC.
Not yet the power user some on this forum appear to be.

Considering installing a screen capture tool (such as Gnome).
Any known issues with BAP stability running update/upgrade or installing more apps after BAP?
Just to be thorough, can anyone provide a complete list of unknown issues that I will encounter?
There shouldn't be any issues with installing other apps on top of build a pi. However, it is ALWAYS a good idea to backup a working system BEFORE trying something new. This gives you a good point to fall back to should something go astray. Backing up is easy and only takes a few minutes.

Icons

Rodney Tanner

Why is the boot icon and rootfs icon showing on my raspberry pi 4 desktop?

Re: Font Size

Right click on the task bar, then select "Add/Remove Panel Items." When that launches, click the Add button on the right. You can then select many different things to add to the task bar, rearrange items, etc.?

Hope that helps!

Thanks Jason…

A step back… I can see the GPS (gpsmon and xgps) but it’s not setting the clock,

The GPS has a Ublox chipset and it looks like it’s not giving me a NMEA stream.

?

Messing with the refclock setting to see if I can get it to set the Pi clock first…

Nothing like jumping in with both feet!!!

There isn't a separate script to install Conky. Conky is installed from the repository during the build and we apply a custom conf file which can be found at

Re: PAT Winlink w/ TNC

Tom,

At a minimum you will need to modify the /etc/ax25/axports file that is set to 1200 baud for build a pi. You may also need to reconfigure your TNC but I am not positive about this. The best place to ask Mobilinkd questions is in their forum /g/mobilinkd/topics Rob (mobilinkd developer) is great to respond to users.
