I'll look into it but I know very little about D-RATS and don't own a DSTAR radio. This makes is impossible for me to test.

Re: Pi 4 and using hot spot

YAAC and Xastir have?a way/setting to change to a regional map. However, it accesses by being on the line. There's a check button I didn't notice in Xastir. "Use a new map on restart." This comment makes it it hard to see a proper map of the area one lives at. I'm not sure if unchecked it says as loaded from setup,? I've had other issues in life get in the way.

?I don't any info into adding it to the program. I'm still looking for ways other than being online.

Pat Menu has nothing to do with APRSdroid or APRS. It is an application to help manage Pat Winlink. You can change the map it displays in the Pat Menu settings. There are two choices, USA and World.

I haven't used a Chromebook, but I have used a Windows Laptop that is very similar <$150 or so. The battery life is good and it usually lasts longer than I can in a single session.

Re: Build a Pi 3.0.3 Released

Jerry Rector

Just an FYI:?Jason's entire suite (full install) performs perfectly for me
even on a plain Raspi3, it does not need to be the 'B+' version.

I am able to even run WSJT-X and GridTrack simultaneously, which was
not possible with the older GridTracker release.

CPU temp hovers near 60-C, with no apparent problems for more than 2-weeks
of 24/7 operation.

BC map in which program Don?

It seems where I downloaded the Off Line map for BC Aprsdroid has changed

Loaded up APRS.
Which APRS program are you using?

GPS didn't seem to track or beacon
Did the GPS have a lock on the satellites?

All I know is the GPS DIY gps I had on the roof of the car. This GPS worked in the house before I took the PI 4 out for it's road trip.

Re: FreeDV

Mumble seems to suffer with noise. On a good strong signal, it¡¯s acceptable. But add typical HF noise and lots of unpleasant artifacts appear.?

I used Skype for a number of years and likely still would. That is the quality level to strive for.?

Pi 4 and using hot spot

I got my Pi 4 out in the mobile today. Is there away to get a BC map. I see I had check download new map. I'm going to remove that.?

The Pat Menu started up. I started Bluetooth. Loaded up APRS. The GPS didn't seem to track or beacon. I have logged into hotspot. My icon aka wheelchair has not moved. I have to find FAQ or something on that program to follow my tracks, and have the map show a full map not a 1/2 with white and the other side as a map?

Re: FreeDV

Setting up duplex audio is the big stumbling block without using skype or some other 2nd party software. Mumble does not work well either. RigPi is a convoluted mess with it's audio. HTML 5 can do it but software very complex. Whoever solves IP duplex audio with open source software will be a real hero.
