HI I am using Build-a-Pi 3.0.2 which installs wsjtx v 2.2.2 - having a weird problem that I have never seen before. Every time I start wsjtx it reports an error - invalid adif header - and wsjtx ignores the previously logged contacts showing every station as not previously worked. Once the program starts, stations logged during the session are recognized as worked. If I exit the program and restart, I get the error and previous contacts are forgotten.
The log files are being created in the correct (default) directory, and permissions on the flies look fine. The contents of the ADIF file also look fine.

Anyone else run into this?

I just checked the WSJTX groups io reflector, and I see that folks have reported the error there, but there is no fix discussed yet.

Me TOO!

I have no clue how to fix it so hopefully the answer will come to us.

Re: Pat Menu, Winlink and Ardop

Thanks Jason. That helps a lot. Now that you have narrowed things down, it will be easier for me to just focus on finding the right gateway for my rig.

Re: CHIRP not updating, BAP 3.0.2

You were right.? That fixed it.? Many Thanks and 73

Re: Pat Menu, Winlink and Ardop

You are getting no response from the gateway so I suspect band conditions are the issue and the gateway isn't hearing you. Give "auto pat" a try on 40M or 80M depending on time of day. I find them much more reliable that 20M.

If you would like to test, the code can be found at but you don't follow the install directions on GitHub and run the one single command. Instead, flash a new copy of buster to an SD card, open a terminal window and run the following:

cd
git clone https://github.com/km4ack/pi-build.git
cd pi-build
git checkout dev
bash build-a-pi

Pat Menu, Winlink and Ardop

If someone has time in the next few days, could you take a look at the two short videos in the link below? I have not had any issues with any other digital mode, but cannot connect to a gateway with ardop and winlink. If anyone could tell me what I am doing wrong it would be appreciated. I have tried repeatedly on 20M and 40m at day and at night, and on different gateways.
One of the videos is of my desktop showing ardop and winlink, and the other is of the front of my radio during an attempt to connect to the same station a few minutes later. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am kind of at a standstill on what to do right now.
