I can speak from experience.? Icom and GPS/gpsd have "issues."? I
run an Icom IC-7200 (and a Yaesu FT-891).? In the config file gpsd
set AUTOCONNECT to FALSE.? Find out which USB port your Icom rig is
using and make sure that this USB port is deleted or commented out
(better) in the config file gpsd.? Shutdown gpsd and restart, or
reboot the pi.? This has worked for me.? FLRIG, soundcard and all
digital apps? function as they should.?

Run this command and post the results please:
arecord -l
This will output the sound card number. Just want to verify that
it's 3,0. By chance did you install the GPS software with BAP? If
so, also run the following:
cat /etc/default/gpsd
and post the results. This will show the settings being used for
the GPS. Seems weird but more than once the GPS has interfered
with the sound card on an Icom rig.
