As far as contest logging software, this last Field Day I ran?K6GTE's Field Day Logger on my BAP and it ran great. It doesn't support digital modes (yet...) but what I like about it is that it has the look and feel of the infamous N3FJP software. He also has a separate?piece of software for the WinKeyer for running CW. It also supports CAT control.
He also has a separate?piece of software for Winter Field Day that supports digital modes, specifically Fldigi for PSK modes and such. I haven't had a chance to look at it, but it too is probably a good choice for WFD.
Here is a writeup of his Field Day Logger:
Here is a writeup of my Field Day running 1E QRP with my daughter, KC8GRS. I don't mention his logging software, but it will give some context.

Anyone have thoughts on logging software, in particular tfl and TRLinux, as part of the Build-A-Pi suite or as a add-on?
I'm looking at using Build-A-Pi when portable primarily for digital modes.? I'm also looking at the logging software as an alternative to paper and #2 pencil.? Especially for contest-oriented ops so I can get fast entry and dupe checking.? Trying it on a fresh Build-A-Pi install (v 11 / bullseye) built today on a Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.2, 4GB Ram, 32GB SanDisk Ultra card.? Running headless, accessing via VNC from my Windows desktop, everything is wired into the same switch so wifi issues are eliminated.? In the field, I will be headless using VNC on a iPad tablet and a blue tooth keyboard. Alternatively, keyboard and mouse on the Pi with a very portable LCD monitor (ViewSonic, runs nicely off a cell phone power booster battery).
Of the 3 logging programs installed by BAP, CQRLog is SLOW; my brain and the PyQSO interface seem to disagree with each other; Hamrs looks promising but is R.E.A.L.L.Y.S.L.O.W.? Plenty of CPU capacity and memory per Conky, and no issues with Swap or storage space (11 GB of 32 in use).? I'm looking at alternatives and trying to figure out why the logging apps are slow (unmodified Conky?).? The two apps I've found so far are tfl (installable via apt) and TRLinux (port of DOS TRLog, followed the environment and build instructions at?? , scroll down to "Raspberry pi example").? Both programs run well, are fast, and will take some getting used to (GUI THEY ARE NOT).? I'll have to see if either is particularly easier to get working with a radio for frequency/mode, CW keying/voice keyer as nice to haves.? I'm not worried about integrating logging with the digital mode apps; flrig, fldigi, and WSJT-X work with my setup and I can merge the digital log in afterwards.
