Gerry,

Just to add a bit to Terry¡¯s reply.
If you intend to replace the entire SD image, you will need to reload the Raspberry Pi OS image before you start with the Build-a-Pi scripts.
If you are new to using a Pi, I would suggest starting with the previous Buster image and the ¡°older¡± version of BaP. The new Bullseye image is still a bit buggy.

There are lots of YouTube videos to help explain the OS load process.

Gerry,

First let me say welcome to the hobby.? I am proud to see new people getting involved and if there is ever anything I can help you with, just ask!

So Build A Pi isn't like other ham radio "images" in that you don't simply download a preset series of applications inside an image that is then written to an SD card.? Rather it is a series of individual compile? / install scripts for a number of applications that Jason has written and made available for us to use.? Build a Pi installs allows you o choose which applications you desire to install and run and it doesn't install "extra" items that allows your processor to be utilized by anything except what you choose to install.

I have not run the new scripts yet as I am in the process of moving.? I did find my radios and my pi tonight while unpacking.? Hoping to put up antennas here real soon and get back on the air.? ?I run my entire shack using build a Pi.?

To get started Build a pi itself can be downloaded from git hub -?
Jason has a youtube channel with large amount if install and configuration tips -?

Again, welcom to both Build A Pi and Ham Radio,

I am new to "Radpberry Pi" and ham radio.?

I order two CanaKit 4 -4GB. I was successful at downloading the pre built image and it works. Lol. Unfortunately I did not see Build-a-pi before and want to start over or overwrite. ?My question is: can I just overwrite the image using build-a-pi.?

love what you are doing for us. Thanks?
